My work is dictated by light, whether working at the coast, in the colors of autumn, the radiance of summer, or the aftermath of a Cape Ann storm. Sunrises and sunsets contain a few precious magical moments when natural light is transformed into saturated warmth (outer worldly colors). As a digital photographer I strive to capture those fleeting moments, along with reflections and symmetrical components.
Artists often are drawn to subjects that have a strong emotional appeal. For me it began with the varied landscapes of my native New England, and flourished upon discovering the West following my family’s relocation to California. After one of countless trips to capture the breathtaking Big Sur coastline, Coastal View Photography was born.
